The planning application for improvements to the area around the North Car Park has now been submitted and validated by the Council.
That means that, from today, you can view and comment on the proposals by visiting the Council's planning applications webpage
and copying the reference number 21/00868/PP
into the Search box
The proposals include:
- Public realm improvements to spaces associated with the two community halls and along the waterfront with associated tree planting, seating and cycle racks.
- Reorganising the car park to free up space and create better links between waterfront and town.
- Relocation of the bus stop to create space for an improved and safer crossing point over the A83.
The planning application documents on the Council website contain a "Design and Access Statement" which explains the proposals and how they have been developed.
The proposals take account of comments received during previous consultations over the year or so. Thank you, everyone who has contributed. There are minor amendments to the last set of consultation proposals presented in February 2021.
If you wish to comment on the proposals, please email or write to the Council direct at firstname.lastname@example.org or Argyll and Bute Council, Development Management, Kilmory Castle, Lochgilphead, Argyll, PA31 8RT.
